A huge thank you to the American Association for Justice for having me come to South Miami Beach last week to speak on marketing in the social security disability practice area. A few high points from my presentation were:

 

  1. Start with your law firm website, ensuring you utilize best practices in its design and structure
  2. Make sure to drive traffic to your website through various methods of inbound marketing
  3. Don't be overly self-promotional in your blog posts - provide helpful, useful content instead
  4. Make your website content easy to socially share
  5. Be sure to be present in a meaningful way on the most important social networks for lawyers - Facebook and LinkedIn
  6. Video marketing is particularly important for targeting clients with impairments as most digital video distribution platforms provide trascriptions of what is said and/or other accessibility options for the visually and hearing impaired
  7. Make sure to track analytics and metrics associated with all marketing efforts to determine the return on your investment
